Wynonna Judd

creative role:
design, animation, look development

We teamed up with Reese Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine and director Patty Ivins Specht to design the graphics package for their heart-felt documentary film following Wynonna Judd as she travels the country, performing for fans in tribute to her late mother, and former duet partner, Naomi Judd.

Touring after her mother’s death was a bittersweet experience for Wynonna Judd. The country star described herself as “between hell and hallelujah.”

Naomi died by suicide on April 30 at age 76, shortly before the Judds were to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame. Naomi and Wynonna also had announced their first tour together in more than a decade, billed as “The Judds: The Final Tour.”

In the aftermath of Naomi’s death, Wynonna and her sister, actress Ashley Judd, said their mother’s suicide was prompted by mental illness. As part of her grieving process, Wynonna decided to continue with the shows she’d planned with her mother, performing as a solo artist and supported by a sisterhood of opening acts such as Martina McBride and Trish Yearwood. Her experience on the tour has been healing and heartbreaking
